We are expanding and seeking a Fin-Tech lawyer to handle in-house legal matters related to financial services in cooperation with our external legal advisers.
Job Responsibilities
- Legal research on local and European laws on various legal topics (e.g. Marketing/Advertising, Privacy, Cyber and IT security, Compliance and etc)
- Reviewing and drafting agreements related to financial services (e.g. General T&Cs, Agreements and Policies etc)
- Analysing legislative acts and regulatory guidelines to identify risks and find practical solutions
- Preparing various corporate documents
- Preparing and amending internal compliance procedures and guidelines
- Communicating with European and local supervisory and other authorities
- Advising management, marketing, HR, product development and customer support team on legal matters
- Resolving other day-to-day legal issues on ad-hoc basis
- Preparing litigation documentation
- Cooperating with external legal advisers
Qualifications and requirements:
- Master’s degree in Law
- At least 2 years of experience as a lawyer or attorney in banking and finance sector
- Knowledge of risks in the financial sector, including AML/KYC and data protection
- Ability to understand legal research and other regulatory papers;
- Good analytical skills
- Proactivity and independent thinking
- Outstanding experience in interacting with colleagues
- Excellent ability to provide a high level of legal service
- Quick decision-making skills and abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Excellent talents in settling disputes and in negotiations
- Excellent ability to handle several tasks simultaneously and to maintain order in a chaotic environment.
- Talent to operate under pressure and to prioritise many things at once
- Ability to work in a team with a positive attitude
- Very good experience with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- English and Estonian languages, the minimum level is C1
